Cottage Facilities

This cottage is next to the N2 highway and a working dairy farm in lush gardens overlooking the garden and surrounding mountains. As we are situated next to the highway, one can expect some road noise.
We have a restaurant onsite where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, cakes and coffee at additional cost.

Cottage #2:  Sleep up to 4 guests in a double-storey farm cottage. This unit is suitable for families (with kids older than 12 OR 2 couples that knows each other very well).
We offer FREE Wi-Fi to our guests (limited per day of stay).

Please note that this cottage has stairs leading to the 2nd floor which will not be suitable for guests that have difficulty climbing stairs.

The ground floor has an open plan lounge, kitchen area with 2 twin beds which opens onto a private patio with its own braai/barbeque facilities next to the patio situated in a beautiful garden.

The stairs lead to the 2nd floor which has a large loft style bedroom with a double bed which opens onto a private patio with beautiful views of the surrounding lush green farm land and Tsitsikamma Mountains.

Please note that we only have one wardrobe in this unit which is situated in the loft room to be shared by all guests.

One shared bathroom downstairs with a shower only.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and a mini stove with 2 hot plates and mini-oven. It’s also equipped with a Television with Family Package DSTV channels.

We supply linen and towels.
Tea & coffee and toiletries for arrival day, there after it is for your own account.

Communal swimming pool at the main house can be used daily until 18h30.
No unsupervised swimming kids under 18. Regrettably non kids under 12 can be accommodate due to the layout of the cottage and the garden environment.

Off street parking is available – parking at own risk.
Min of 2-night stay required.

 

Rates

 

50% of per night fee surcharge will apply if exceptions for 1 night stays are accommodated or if an exception is made on min night stay over long weekends.
Over long weekends the min night stay is 3 nights.
Min of 3 night stay required between 24 Dec and 6 Jan.
No check-in / check-out will be accommodated on 25 Dec or 1 Jan.
Check-in will be between 15h00 and 17h00. (Late arrivals accommodated by prior arrangements only).
Check-out will be before 11h00.

PLEASE NOTE:

NO VISITORS allowed at the cottages (friends of family).
Regrettably no children under the age of 12 are allowed.
We are a non-smoking establishment.
NO pets allowed.
We do not charge an breakage deposit upfront, however our guests will be held liable for damages incurred during the stay – should any occur.

 

Cancellation Policy

50% Non-Refundable deposit required to secure the booking upon confirmation.
Balance due 1 month prior to arrival date.
100% Cancellation fees charged if cancelled less than 31 days prior to arrival date.
Booking between 15 Dec and 15 Jan, a balance payment is required 2 months prior to arrival.
100% Payment will be forfeited for bookings between 15 December and 15 January.
NB: PLEASE take out travel insurance to ensure that you are covered in the event that you are unable to travel.
Change of dates on confirmed bookings can be viewed as cancellations.
  

Disclaimer Notice

All persons entering these premises, Tsitsikamma Gardens Restaurant and Cottages and utilising the facilities on the premises, do so on their own risk.
The owners, tenants and their respective employees, agents, appointees, representatives, contractors, managers or any other person acting under the owners’ and or tenants’ control (collectively referred to as “the Owners”), shall not be held liable for any claim, loss or damage arising from, or suffered by, any person entering these or making use of the facilities thereon, including, but not limited to, personal injury or death, or any harm caused to any person, or for damage to, loss or destruction of any property of any person, arising from negligence by the Owners, ot the theft or from other cause whatsoever.
The Owners reserve the right to remove any person from the premises where, in the Owners’ discretion, the conduct of such person is harmful / disruptive or unsafe to that person, or other persons, or is causing a nuisance.
The terms of this notice are severable. Should any legislation restrict or prohibit the effect of any specific term of this notice, such restrictions or prohibition shall not invalidate the remainder of this notice.
Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. The swimming pool maximum dept is 1.6m and the use thereof is at own risk. No eating or drinking allowed around the pool area.
Right of admission is reserved by the Owners.
